Universal Orlando has won four outstanding achievements awards for Universal’s Epic Universe (Epic Universe) at this year’s Thea Awards, which are considered the highest honour in the global themed entertainment industry.
The four Outstanding Achievement awards Universal Orlando received were for the following:
- Theme Park – Epic Universe
- Ride Experiences – Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry
- Attraction – Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
- Theme Park Land – How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
Dale Mason, former Universal Creative executive, received the Buzz Price Thea Award for a Lifetime of Outstanding Achievement. Mason was a part of the Universal Creative team for more than 25 years before he retired, playing a key role in concepting and developing imaginative experience experiences like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal’s Volcano Bay, and much more.
