A recently filed permit suggests that Universal Orlando could be moving forward with plans for the first expansion at Universal’s Epic Universe (Epic Universe).
The permit suggests that Universal Orlando is seeking approval for the development of a huge plot of land on the site. With that being said, let’s delve into the permit’s details.
Universal Orlando filed a permit for “site utilities and foundation work” for an address relating to Epic Universe. This is the fascinating part, the permit lists a project scope of 150,000 square feet.
Whilst there are a number of Epic Universe expansion pards, none except the pad next to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic (Ministry of Magic) measures up to the permit’s project scope.
As you can see in the aerial photos below, there is a sizeable plot of land close to the Ministry of Magic.
Now this is where things gets juicy! Multiple outlets have taken the time to measure the land and produce graphics which show the 150,000 square feet will feet on the land. Lets take a look at a few below:
What could be coming is anyone’s guess at the moment. Stay tuned for further updates. Where could this expansion attach to the Ministry of Magic? EASY! The east side of the popular land.
As much as we believe it is, this permit could reference something else totally different (different expansion perhaps). It’s fair to suggest that Universal Orlando is certainly planning on expanding Epic Universe and that’s EPIC!
