Guests Pretending to be Unresponsive on Stardust Racers at Universal’s Epic Universe, Team Members Panicked

According to a post on Reddit, guests are pretending to be unresponsive on Stardust Racers at Universal’s Epic Universe following the death of Kevin Rodriguez Zavala.

FYI: The information was posted in a thread on the fan-run Universal Orlando community page on the social media platform.

Approximately five hours ago, u/Wrong-Jaguar-8819 started the thread ‘Inhumane Guests’ with the following:

“Two days ago I visited the park [Universal’s Epic Universe] and witnessed something so vile and disgusting I could not believe my eyes. I am local and have visited the parks way too many times to count. Third time experiencing Epic Universe which of course meant riding Stardust Racers.

I was about 5 minutes from the shotgun gates at yellows station when a guest was returning and pretended to be unconscious by being slumped over his restraint. One the [ride vehicle] came to a stop, Team Members panicked and rushed over the guest who which sat up like nothing was wrong. Grown adults too at that.

I go back in line to ride the green side and the identical situation happened but it was an entirely different group of guests. As someone who loves these attractions and creativity behind them this made me realise that a lot of people are weird and disgusting human beings.

I have sat and watched people talk about the situation since ti happened and 80% of people were mocking the gentleman. I understand that people will talk about you even when you are in your grave but good lord how evil do you have to be to do something like that?

Personally I would never allow those types of guests back into the park since actions should present similar consequences. I know others may have different opinions about the situation be we could at least all agree that pretending to experience to a medical emergency after a fatal one has occurred is definitely inhumane. I don’t wish bad on anyone but really hope those people have a bad week at work. Like the coffee machine breaks or a printer smudge’s ink on what they’re trying to print.

Thought I would bring this up to potentially warn guests who plan on experiencing this attraction to be prepared. After speaking to a Team Member this has been happening almost everyday since the ride has reopened. If somehow this message makes it to those who were out plan on doing something like I mentioned be the change you would like to see. Have a great day everyone and remember to remain positive in situations like this.”

We generally lost for words…JUST STOP IT AND THINK ABOUT YOUR BEHAVIOUR! It could trigger a Team Member who may have involved in the tragic incident.
