Officials have determined the cause and manner of death of a guest found dead at Disney’s Contemporary Resort (Contemporary Resort).
The guest, identified as Summer Equitz, died of multiple blunt impact injuries and the death has been ruled a suicide, the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office told People. An investigation into the death is ongoing.

An Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) spokesperson previously called the incident an “apparent suicide” and confirmed the guest had not been struck by a monorail, despite information on social media suggesting.
According to WKMG News 6, OCSO received a report about a dead body at approximately 6:40pm.
The New York Post is reporting that Equitz was a Disney superfan. A now-deleted missing persons thread was posted on Reddit, according to the established outlet.
“Equitz – who reportedly honeymooned at the theme park during happier times announced she was pregnant late last year – left her home in Naperville and booked a flight to Orlando without telling anyone, the now deleted thread said.”
