A permit, obtained by Orlando Park Stop’s Alicia Stella, describes part of the demolition work happening in The Lost Continent at Universal’s Islands of Adventure (Islands of Adventure/IOA).

As you can see in the above screenshot, it mostly relates to nearby utilities. However, there are two interesting facts we would like to point out:
- Building 231 is the building number for Poseidon’s Fury.
- A statue is set “to be removed” from The Lost Continent.
Another permit has the City of Orlando requesting building numbers and descriptions for all the buildings that are planned to be demolished.
“Per email request to Tim Johnson. In order to perform a thorough demo credit estimate. We are requesting the below information for each building being demolished. Building number/identifier Existing use (restaurant, retail, ride, etc.) Plumbing fixtures clearly identified Square footage per building.”

Towards the end of last month, construction walls which were erected in The Lost Continent were removed. It’s unclear what the construction walls were for. However, we can assume that they were erected for the maintenance project on The Lost Continent bridge.
“Construction activity” in The Lost Continent is set to start in the coming months. The original demolition permit for the “construction activity” was cancelled and refiled under a new permit. A screenshot of the new permit emerged online via Orlando Park Stop’s newest article (read here).
Latest speculation suggests that Pokémon could be coming to Islands of Adventure, replacing The Lost Continent. Stay tuned for further updates.
