According to a new lawsuit, an unchecked restraint on the now defunct Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida led to a guest suffering significant injuries.
In the complaint against Universal City Development Partners, the guest boarded the attraction and secured her lap restraint. The lawsuit then alleges that Team Members failed to check her restraint.
The complaint goes on to allege that because of that failure the guest was launched forward and unable to reposition her neck and head causing significant injuries. You can read the lawsuit in full below:
The lawsuit/case was filed/initiated on the 8th October, 2025, the guest is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. Stay tuned for further updates as she has demanded trial by jury.
