According to famous civil rights attorney Ben Crump (via WESH 2 NEWS), more victims have come forward to report injuries sustained while riding Stardust Racers at Universal’s Epic Universe.
During a news conference today (Tuesday 30th September, 2025), Crump said that witnesses and victims have come forward since the death of Kevin Rodriguez Zavala.
Crump said (via WESH 2 NEWS) that the injuries others had reported include problems with restraints, riders being thrown forward and hitting hard structures. He said these are all consistent with the injuries Zavala suffered.
“This shows that Kevin’s case was not an isolated incident,” Crump said (via WESH 2 NEWS)
Zavala’s family believes these accounts indicate that warnings signals were overlooked and that Zavala’s death could have been completely avoided.
The famous civil rights lawyer said Zavala was unconscious for most of the ride and was slumped over the restraints. However, Universal Orlando has said there was nothing wrong with the roller coaster.
