According to the Orange County Clerk Court Records (OCCCR), a lawsuit has been filed by a guest who was diagnosed with a significant brain bleed after slipping and falling in a restroom at Universal’s Volcano Bay.
The man’s complaint says excessive water on the floor caused him to slip and fall. He was knocked unconscious and woke up in a pool of his own blood. Subsequently, he was taken to the emergency room where he was diagnosed with a significant brain bleed.
One of the allegations is that Universal failed to provide a safe and non-slippery floor. The man had just rode the Ko’okiri Body Plunge on the 11th July, 2025, when he asked a “lifeguard” where the nearest restroom was.
Searcy Law initiated the case on the 24th September, 2025, according to the OCCCR. Stay tuned for further updates.
A lawsuit which was filed by a guest who claimed she was injured on Stardust Racers at Universal’s Epic Universe has been voluntary dismissed after both parties reached an agreement to settle. The amount is unknown currently.
