A lawsuit which was filed by a guest who claimed she was injured on Stardust Racers at Universal’s Epic Universe has been voluntary dismissed after both parties reached an agreement to settle. The amount is unknown at this time.
According to the Orange County Clerk Court Records (OCCCR), the Notice of Settlement and Voluntary Dismissal documents were submitted yesterday. You can read both documents below.

Voluntary Dismissal
The lawsuit, which was filed last week, claimed the guest was injured on Stardust Racers at Universal’s Epic Universe.
The woman’s complaint (via WESH 2 News) said Stardust Racers caused her head to shake violently and slam against her seat’s headrest. It went on to say that she had reasonable expectation that the rides inside Epic Universe would be reasonably safe.
One of the allegations was that Universal failed to properly restrain her head while riding Stardust Racers. Before the theme park’s grand opening in May, 49-year-old Sandi Streets got to check out the new immersive worlds and attractions during the preview period on the 30th April, 2025.
The Spetsas-Buist law firm initiated the case on the 24th September, 2025, according to the OCCCR. Before the settlement was reached, the law firm were asking for a jury trial to decide how much Universal Orlando should compensate Streets for her head injuries. You can read the original complaint below:
What’s worth mentioning is that lawsuit was settled TWO DAYS after the case was initiated.
The recently settled lawsuit comes following the death of 32-year-old Kevin Rodriguez Zavala died after being found unresponsive on Stardust Racers. You can find out more about the tragic incident in the links below:

I rode this ride 2 weeks ago. I left the ride feeling a little post trauma because it was frightening. I felt like did I like it or was a scared to death the whole time. I did not feel safe. I would never ride that again.
