As with any kind of rumour, this information should be considered unofficial until Universal Orlando officially confirms.
According to an Inside Universal forum post by user Jwhee, Jurassic Park River Adventure and E.T. Adventure are “lined up” for extensive refurbishments in 2026.
“This [Jurassic Park River Adventure] and ET are lined up for major Mummy-style refurbs. Not sure which one is coming first, thought. I’ve heard our new [thing] for 2026 might be a stage show, but not totally confident in it.”
Mummy-style refurb essentially means Jurassic Park River Adventure and E.T. Adventure could be closed for months. Revenge of the Mummy’s refurbishment at Universal Studios Florida lasted seven months.
In case you didn’t know, Jurassic Park River Adventure at Universal’s Islands of Adventure will close for refurbishment in January 2025. There is no E.T. Adventure refurbishment planned at this time.
Once again, as with kind of rumour, this information should be considered unofficial until Universal Orlando officially confirms.
