As you can see in Video #1, the guest flies the drone over guests and part of World Showcase Lagoon.
Video #2 shows the drone flying back over guests to its operator. You’ll notice a Cast Member is approaching the guest as they attempt to retrieve their drone. Shortly before the video ends, the Cast Member can be seen speaking to the guest.
At this time, it’s unclear what repercussions the guest faced after retrieving the drone and speaking with the Cast Member. Stay tuned for possible updates.
According to PlanDisney, flying drones is “both not permitted neither under Walt Disney World Property Rules that specifically list drones, nor according to the Federal Aviation Administration which has issued NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) Number: FDC 4/3634 that permanently restricts the airspace above Walt Disney World Resort, currently within a radius of three nautical miles.” You can find out more here.
