A new Notice of Commencement (NOC/permit) for the Muppet Vision 3D building at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Hollywood Studios) has been filed by Walt Disney Imagineering.
The permit lists PCL Construction Services as the assigned contractor, with work being described as “General Construction.”
Whilst it doesn’t specify the work being done, the NOC is part of plans to transform the surrounding Grand Avenue section of Hollywood Studios into the upcoming Monsters, Inc.-themed land.
The permit includes a standard one-year expiration date, which suggests work could commence soon.
“[The NOC will] potentially cover [the] interior demolition, infrastructure upgrades, or prep for the conversion to the new Monstro or now Glob, Theater.”

Back in November 2024, Disney confirmed that a Monsters, Inc land, featuring the above-mentioned roller coaster, themed dining, a new Monstro Theater, would replace the former the Grand Avenue and Muppets Courtyard sections of Hollywood Studios.
“The new land will include Harryhausen’s Restaurant, the Glob Theater featuring a new Monsters, Inc. show and a flying door rollercoaster housed in the iconic door warehouse. Disney has not yet announced an opening date for the new land.”
