Universal Orlando has filed a permit for the removal and replacement of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida. The map below shows the location of the project:

The permit states, “remove exisiting attraction and replace with proposed attraction.”

According to Behind The Thrills (@BehindThrills on X), a plan (see below) shows the addition of three new buildings.

“Interesting to note that plans show the addition of three new buildings – assuming the larger two behind Jimmy Fallon and the station and maintenance buildings – third smaller building may be an electrical building or tunnel.”
This is all the information we have at this time on the permit, stay tuned for further updates.
Rumours have suggested that Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit would close permanently in 2025 for sometime now. You can find out more here.
Update: Minutes after publishing our article on the new permit, Orlando Park Stop’s Alicia Stella published a detailed article about the new permit. You can read it here (highly recommend you read).
