According to Fox 35 Orlando (F35O), a woman is suing SeaWorld after she claims she was injured on a water slide at Aquatica Orlando back in 2023.
According to recently filed documents (via F35O), Melissa Velazquez went down a water slide and before she could get up to exit the slide, another guest went down and “violently collided” into her. The incident occurred on the 23rd June 2023, according to the lawsuit (via F35O).
Velazquez said the theme park negligent because there were no lifeguards or employees near the water slide at the time of the incident, the lawsuit said (via F35O). She said she was physically, emotionally and mentally injured as a result of the incident, according to the recently filed documents.
Velazquez is seeking a trial by jury and damages greater than $50,000. Stay tuned for further updates.
