Universal Orlando has today announced new entertainment offerings coming to the resort this summer, which includes a parade and two nighttime shows (aka spectaculars).
With that being said, Let’s delve into the details:
Parade – Universal Mega Movie Parade
The Universal Mega Movie Parade at Universal Studios Florida will debut on the 3rd July, 2024. The daytime parade will celebrate a number of iconic films including Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, Jaws and more (full list of celebrated movies can be found below).

Universal Mega Movie Parade will be Universal Orlando’s biggest daytime parade to date and combine 13 brand new floats and nearly 100 performers. Special effects will be used to create an incredible experience where guests can relive classic film moments in a unique way.
“Guests will watch in awe as they see the massive 16-foot Stay Puft Marshmallow Man atop the Ghostbusters float, the colourful Caterbus and giant rainbows on the vibrant Trolls float, a live marching drum line perform the iconic movie score of Jaws alongside a float themed to the film, and a Gyrosphere, Raptors, and the fierce Tyrannosaurus rex aboard the Jurassic World float,” the company said in today’s press release.
Universal Orlando’s Summer Tribute Store will complement the parade experience and feature themed rooms, merchandise and photo ops inspired by some of the above listed films. More details about the store will be revealed soon.
Nighttime Shows
Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular
Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular at Universal Studios Florida will debut on the 14th June, 2024. The all-new nighttime show will celebrate the emotional power of music by leveraging iconic scores and scenes from films that have inspired Universal Orlando’s past, present and future attractions (full list of film scores/scenes can be found below).

An impressive collection of technologies and special effects will bring the show to life. Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular will “feature 228 fountains that reach heights up to 131 feet, 4K projection mapping, an original composition featuring new scores, and more than 600 drones,” Universal Orlando said in today’s press release.
Hogwarts Always (Select Nights)
Hogwarts Always in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Universal’s Islands of Adventure will debut on the 14th June, 2024. The new projection show will take guests on a journey through iconic moments of a school year at Hogwarts.
“From supply shopping Diagon Alley, and the exhilarating ride aboard the Hogwarts Express, to participating in the Sorting Ceremony, celebrating the House Cup winner, and so much more, this visually stunning experience promises to captivate witches, wizards and Muggles of all ages,” the company said in today’s press release.
Hogwarts Always will also feature four different endings that celebrate each Hogwarts house and will close with a colourful pyrotechnic display. Guests will also hear dialogue from beloved characters including Professor Dumbledore, Hagrid, the Sorting Hat and more.
Universal Orlando also revealed today that DreamWorks land at Universal Studios Florida will open on the 14th June, 2024. You can find out more here.
