Fox 35 Orlando (F35O) initially reported about the lawsuit to our knowledge. A couple said they were seriously injured on the moving walkway at Universal Orlando in a recently filed lawsuit.
The lawsuit filed by Morgan & Morgan attorneys claims that the Susan and Wayne Moonsie were injured during their visit on the 20th April, 2022.
The moving walk reportedly malfunctioned, according to the lawsuit (via F35O). It “came to a sudden and unexpected complete stop, which shook [the Moonsies] and others on the escalator at the same time,” the lawsuit said (via F35O).
The lawsuit said (via F35O) that the theme park’s alleged negligence to maintain and inspect the moving escalator caused both Susan and Wayne Moonsie to experience “significant and serious bodily injuries.”
These injuries cause physical handicap, disfigurement, mental pain and suffering, loss of income, loss of the capacity for enjoyment of life, and incurred medical expenses. The couple are seeking a judgement in excess of $50,000, plus costs, and a jury trial.
