14 people were injured after a tram at Universal Studios Hollywood crashed last night.
Emergency services responded to Universal Studios Hollywood at approximately 9:13pm, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Authorities found 14 people injured at the scene following a crash involving a studio tour tram. Most sustained minor injuries while one person (included in the 14) suffered “moderate” injuries, authorities said. At least four people were transported to hospital.
A Universal Studios Hollywood spokesperson provided the following statement to KTLA:
“There was a tram incident at the theme park tonight that result in multiple minor injuries, confirmed by the LA County Fire Dept. We are working to support our guests and understand the circumstances that led to the accident.”
The California Highway Patrol are now investigating the incident. Stay tuned for further updates.
