X user @WDWords has posted a video which shows two illuminated walls in a portion of the TRON Lightcycle/Run queue at the Magic Kingdom switched off.

As you can see in the above video, solid black wall panels have now covered the light-embedded walls. The photo in the above tweet shows what it should look like.
The recently-installed black wall panels feel like plywood, according to @WDWords. At this time, it’s unclear when the original illuminated walls will return. Stay tuned for further updates.
We can assume that the original walls have been covered so work can be carried out on them.

Update: According to WDWNT, a Cast Member said that crews are working on the “light-up walls” in both the standard and Lightning Lane sides of the queue to fix them. Per WDWNT:
“A Cast Member told us that crews were working on the light-up walls in both the standard and Lightning Lane sides of the queue to fix them, and they will return at some point. However, there is no timeframe for how long this repair will take.”
