Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s upcoming roller coaster will be called Phoenix Rising and will open in Spring 2024, the theme park announced today.
The new attraction will be a family-friendly suspended roller coaster, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay (BGTB) said, and it will swing riders side-to-side and will feature onboard audio. It will reach speeds of up to 44 miles per hour.
It will have a minimum height requirement of 42 inches. Phoenix Rising will be located in the Pantopia portion of the theme park.
“Phoenix Rising will be an extraordinary journey for our seasoned coaster enthusiasts and younger thrill-seekers alike,” said Stewart Clark, president of BGTB. “Journey our comprehensive coaster collection, this new attraction reinforces our commitment to provide guests with new, immersive, and one-of-a-kind experiences.”
Phoenix Rising, manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, will be the park’s tenth roller coaster. It will join a lineup that includes Iron Gwazi, Tigris, SheiKra, and others. Stay tuned for further updates.
