The Universal City sign at Universal Studios Hollywood (USH) has been demolished as work continues on the new Fast & Furious-themed roller coaster.
In case you’re unaware, the sign was located on the Upper Lot hillside at USH.
For the past several months, demolition has been going on the Upper Lot. The Animal Actors Stage, the Castle Theatre (Special Effects Show), and the Production Central store have been fully demolished now.
Work on the hillside has been ongoing for weeks now, which includes the removal of trees. It’s unclear whether USH will replace the demolished sign once work on the Fast & Furious roller coaster finishes.
