The lack of empathy is shocking! Twitter user @rickynerd_ posted a clip of a live stream which shows several vloggers joking about jumping off the parking structure at Disneyland Resort.
These disgusting jokes were made during a live stream dubbed ‘Disneyland Live! Anniversary Celebration Disney100 Merch Release! Giveaway Marathon’. You can watch the clip @rickynerd posted below:
Why are these jokes disgusting and utterly appalling.? We’ll tell you!
Earlier this month, Chris Christensen jumped to his death from what we can assume is the same parking lot that these vloggers are joking about jumping off. You can find out more about the tragic event here.
Mental health and suicide is no laughing matter, EVER! There’s enough stigma surrounding it as it is! These kinds of “jokes” or suggestions do not help!
If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts or mental health issues, please seek help immediately. There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking for help, so please don’t feel embarrassed or ashamed.
We truly hope the vloggers think about what they’ve said and issue a statement in due course. If you’re one of the vloggers involved and read this, please reach out. We would love to have a chat!
Update: The vloggers involved have spoken out about the above video (PLEASE DO NOT send the couple death threats):
H/T Twitter

“(PLEASE DO NOT send the couple death threats)” lol
Because of all you trolls, that ship has sailed many moons ago… Kudos!
Kinda ironic how it went from being appalled by a “suicide” joke to wishing for death and threatening murder, isn’t it?
Question, is this John Melendez from the Howard Stern show?
Nobody is sending them death threats. They are telling lies to gain sympathy. They are upset they got caught. They posted a “fake “apology” where they didn’t take accountability for their actions instead putting the blame on equipment and making up a bunch of excuses. They didn’t even apologize to the Family Members, Cast Members, and families of those who witnessed and are effected by this tragedy. They are now cancelled. Good job everyone!
