According to WDWNT, Pteranodon Flyers at Universal’s Islands of Adventure is closed indefinitely. The attraction is located in the Jurassic Park section of the park.
Pteranodon Flyers closed unexpectedly this past Sunday morning and hasn’t reopened since. According to the established outlet, half of the Jurassic Park section and Skull Island: Reign of Kong were closed at the same time. Team Members were not allowing anyone to enter that section of the park.

Orange County Fire Rescue came to the rescue Sunday morning. According to “reports”, the OCFD had to evacuate some guests from Pteranodon Flyers. A Team Member reassured a WDWNT contributor on Sunday that this happens occasionally, and it has still failed to reopen.
The reports of an extended closure suggests that this incident involves more than just a normal issue. The mobile app for Universal Orlando states that the attraction is still closed. Team Members outside the entrance were advising guests that the ride wouldn’t reopen today. However, the Camp Jurassic play area is open to all guests.
At this time, Universal Orlando hasn’t commented on the status of Pteranodon Flyers. Stay tuned for further updates.
