The demolition of the Spirit of Aloha dinner show building at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is almost finished.
For those who may not know, the building is being knocked down to make space for a new Disney Vacation Club wing.
Guests can see the demolition site clearly when riding the Monorail. The photo below shows an excavator sitting next to what remains of the front of the building.

If you look closely in the photo below, you can clearly see through the remnants of the building.

As you can see in the photo below, building debris is piled to the side (debris placed in dumpsters also).

Earlier this year, Disney announced that the Spirit of Aloha was permanently closed. Sometime after that announcement, a permit for demolition was filed.
