Back in December, there was a fire in the Magic Kingdom which saw a response unlike anything we’ve ever seen at a Walt Disney World theme park before.
According to Disney, “there was a small fire in Magic Kingdom. The fire was quickly extinguished by fire extinguishers. No one was hurt.”
The brief statement above was released after posts on social media showed emergency vehicles driving down Main Street, U.S.A. heading towards Cinderella Castle.
At the time of the incident, guests said they saw smoke “billowing” near Cinderella Castle. In a tweet posted on the night of the incident, Scott Gustin revealed the location of the fire. You can read the tweet he posted below:
Video from the night of the incident can be found below:
According to Gustin, a security guard was treated and transported after inhaling fumes from the fire extinguisher.
It’s fair to say we’ve never seen anything like you can see above before.
