Starting on the 18th February, Hong Kong will ease Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, which were implemented to minimise the spread of the disease.

This potentially means the reopening of sports and entertainment facilities, extending dining hours, and allow the reopening of Hong Kong Disneyland. The ease of the restrictions is due to a steady decline in daily cases.

Health Secretary Sophia Chan said that catering businesses would be able to operate until 10:00pm, allowing them an additional four hours. Beauty salons, theme parks, cinemas and all sports facilities would be allowed to resume with restrictions in place.

On the 2nd December, 2020, Hong Kong Disneyland temporarily closed for the third time due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the region. Stay tuned to Orlando Theme Park Zone for further updates.
