Remembering When: Jungle Cruise Boat Sunk at Magic Kingdom

-

Back in February last year, a Jungle Cruise boat sunk at Magic Kingdom. The boat that sunk was called the Bomokandi Bertha.

Guests were on board when the boat started to take on water. As the boat started to sink, guests were quickly evacuated by Disney officials.

Shortly after the guests were evacuated, the Jungle Cruise boat sunk in the shallow water of the attraction.

Thankfully, there were no injuries. The same day of the incident, Disney released the following statement:

“A boat took on some water. Reedy Creek Fire Department responded immediately to this event. Everyone got out of the boat safely. We worked with guests individually so that they could enjoy the rest of their day in the park.”
