Update 4: A nationwide CenturyLink Outage was the cause of issues pertaining to Rise of the Resistance boarding groups and other My Disney Experience functions.
Update 3: The virtual queue will now open at noon and 2:00pm today after issues with the My Disney Experience app have been resolved.
Update 2: An in-park audio message is now playing across Disney’s Hollywood Studios notifying guests of the current issue. Listen to the audio message in the video below, courtesy of Blog Mickey.
Cast Members and managers that Mike of Blog Mickey spoke with said that they are unaware of a timeline to fix the issue, however the audio message you hear in the above video will be played across the park for about 45 minutes to an hour before Disney would open the virtual queue.
For the time being, guests are being asked to check out other attractions in the park. Disney is not offering standby at this time even though this problem appears to be a technical issue with the My Disney Experience app and not with the ride.

Original Article: Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are having an issue with the My Disney Experience app which has led to boarding groups for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance not being distributed this morning.
The ride’s boarding groups unexpectedly “opened” before 9:30am this morning, however no guests were able to join the queue. When 10:00am came around, guests were reportedly unable to join the virtual queue at all.
Disney has acknowledged an issue that is affecting some of the digital experiences at this time.
