It’s suffice to suggest Disney cast members have this INCREDIBLE reputation for making “magical experiences” for guests who visit Disney Parks across the globe.

Samantha Burns did that just recently! Burns, an attractions hostess at Disney’s Animal Kingdom went above and beyond to help Jessica Thomas, a claustrophobic guest overcome her fears at Na’vi River Journey in Pandora – The World of Avatar.

Thomas wanted to experience Na’vi River Journey in Pandora – The World of Avatar with her young children, husband and friends, however felt very anxious due to her history of claustrophobic episode.

Thomas approached Burns with a lot of questions about the attraction so that she would know what to expect. Burns responded by asking Thomas if she would like her to ride with her through the attraction, she did.

According to Thomas, Burns held her hand throughout the attraction, pointing out safety exits along the way. Not forgetting to mention that Burns entertained Thomas’ children as they moved through Pandora’s astounding bioluminescent rainforest.

In honour of her positivity and readiness to go above and beyond for Thomas, Burns was recognised with a unique memento from Djuan Rivers, vice president of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Joe Kalla, general manager of Park Operations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
